Immediate opening for a full-time Senior Scientist

You must be self-motivated, professional, possess strong organizational, and communication skills.

 

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

 

  • Work with other scientists, engineers, technicians, and program managers to develop the next generation of High-Power Microwave (HPM) sources.
  • Use particle-in-cell simulation codes to design and predict performance of HPM sources.
  • Use pulsed power SPICE models as inputs into particle-in-cell simulation codes.
  • Present work at design reviews and conferences.
  • Write reports to describe simulation results.
  • Compare simulation results to experimental results.
  • Write proposals.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • B.S. in physics, mathematics, electrical engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience working on HPM projects.
  • Experience working on computer clusters.
  • Experience working in a research, development, or prototyping environment
  • Experience in writing proposals for competitive solicitations.
  • Active Security Clearance.
  • This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • 20+ years of experience of working on HPM projects for either the government or industry.
  • Experience in experimental physics.
  • M.S. or Ph.D in physics, mathematics, electrical engineering, or related field.
